Ilha-Yi, President and CEO

Il-Ha Yi is the current President of Good Neighbors International and has been a member of the Board of Directors since April 2009. He was one of the founders of Good Neighbors back in 1991. Prior to joining Good Neighbors, Mr. Yi's career highlights include serving as the Fundraising Director of World Vision, the President of Korea NGO Council of Overseas Corporation, and the General Secretary of Good Neighbors' Social Welfare Foundation. He received his B.A. in Theology from Yonsei University and studied social work at the Graduate School of Soongsil University, and NGO management at the Graduate School of Eastern University.

David T. Marh, Chair

David T. Marh has been the Chair of the Board of Directors since April 2009 and currently works as a corporate and international attorney at Marh & Associates. He has handled corporate securities, complex agreements and commercial transactions both domestically and internationally, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, intellectual property, project financing, as well as interfacing with foreign governments and NGOs on international projects. Mr. Marh received his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine and his J.D. from Western State University in Fullerton, CA.

Eunju Oh, Secretary

Eunju Oh is the current Executive Director of Good Neighbors USA and has served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer/Secretary since April 2009. She first joined Good Neighbors International in 2002 as the Afghanistan Program Director in Project Development and Management in Kabul, Afghanistan and established the Good Neighbors USA office in 2007 in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Oh directs the management of GNUSA; establishes its goals and policies; and exercises wide latitude in discretionary decision making. She specializes in INGO governance and management, and emergency disaster relief operations. In 2010, she established an office in Washington D.C. to network and partner with other U.S.-based INGOs, as well as to concentrate on obtaining grants from government agencies.

Thomas Yi, Treasurer

Thomas Yi grew up in Seoul, South Korea before moving to the United States in 1981. He graduated from Eastern Seminary in 1986 and Westminster Seminary in 1994. From 1995-2005, he served as the General Secretary for Good Neighbors International’s U.S. fundraising branch originally located in Pennsylvania. He has participated in emergency relief efforts for the South Asian tsunami in 2004 and the 2011 earthquake in Haiti. Since 1998, he has been a board member for Good Neighbors International, working for special projects in North Korea. Mr. Yi now serves as Good Neighbors USA’s board member and is the current Pastor of Calgary Church in Philadelphia, PA, where he's been since 1986.

Timothy Haahs, Member

Mr. Haahs is the President/CEO of TimHaahs, Inc. and leads its national and international professional services in the planning and design of parking and mixed-use facilities. Focusing on master planning and mixed-use, his approach integrates parking as a critical component for project success, as well as community development and revitalization. Mr. Haahs has presented to the United Nations and other international organizations on the global challenge of parking, infrastructure, and sustainable development. He has received numerous awards throughout this career including ASCE's Structural Engineer of the Year Award, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip Enterprise Award, Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of Year Award (for Real Estate and Construction, Philadelphia), ZweigWhite's Jerry Allen Courage in Leadership Award, and ASCE Philadelphia's Engineer of the Year.

Patricia Joanne (Dwyer) Idler, Member

Patricia Joanne (Dwyer) Idler became involved with Good Neighbors while creating Boots For Peace, a non-profit organization dedicated to employing women in Afghanistan. Prior to joining Good Neighbors, she designed and implemented programs for learning-disabled and emotionally disturbed children. She was also an organic farmer in North Dakota and a board member of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources at the University of Nevada, Reno. Currently, Patricia is a citizen diplomat, hosting foreign guests for programs administered by the U.S. Department of State through the Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC). At NNIC, she served as World Affairs Council Chair, President Emeritus, and remains an advisor for the International Center. A highlight of Patricia’s work with Good Neighbors so far was traveling to Chad, Africa in 2011 to help build clean water wells for villagers.

Gordon E. Turner, Member

Gordon joined Good Neighbors USA as a member of the Board of Directors in 2012. He worked many years as a Deputy City Attorney in Los Angeles, California, assigned to the Metropolitan Branch, where his experience included trials in child endangerment. This work led Gordon to the Crime Prevention Youth Protection Division where he worked in the Operation Bright Future Program, as well as the the Homeless Alternatives to Living on the Streets (HALO) program. Gordon received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and his JD from Southwestern University School of Law. Gordon is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and is passionate about expanding the impact of Good Neighbors throughout Latin America.
